1. Operator

SkillMonster is a global supplemental learning platform. Services on this site are operated by AdzMonster Private Limited, India.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SkillMonster, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SkillMonster. Users aged 13–17 require verifiable parental or guardian consent.

You confirm that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful. SkillMonster may remove accounts that contain misleading or false details.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account.

Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

SkillMonster is designed to connect learners with independent tutors for supplemental educational purposes. You agree not to:

• Post obscene, abusive, or defamatory content.
• Harass, stalk, or exploit other users.
• Create multiple profiles or impersonate another person.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Solicit payments outside the platform to circumvent fees.
• Use automated scripts or bots to harvest data or interact with users.

6. Subscription & Payments

Certain features require payment. Pricing is displayed at the time of booking or purchase.

Payments are processed through secure third-party gateways (Razorpay for India). Applicable GST may apply.

SkillMonster deducts a platform fee from each transaction. The remainder is paid out to the tutor as per the payout schedule.

7. Tutor Independence

Tutors on SkillMonster are independent professionals, not employees or agents of SkillMonster.

SkillMonster verifies tutor credentials through a review process, but this does not constitute an endorsement of their claims, methods, or content.

Tutors are solely responsible for the conduct and content of their sessions.

8. Refund Policy

Cancellations made 24 or more hours before a session are eligible for a full refund as platform credits.

Cancellations made 2–24 hours before a session may receive a 50% credit. No refund is issued for cancellations within 2 hours or no-shows.

Where a refund is issued to the original payment method, it is processed in Indian Rupees (INR) within 15 business days.

9. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create on the platform but grant SkillMonster a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and share that content as part of the service.

The SkillMonster name, logos, and platform design are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without prior written permission.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

The platform may display links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites.

11. Session Conduct

All sessions must be conducted professionally and respectfully. You agree not to record sessions without explicit consent from all participants.

SkillMonster reserves the right to investigate complaints and take appropriate action, including suspension, for conduct violations.

12. Age of Learners

Learners under 18 must have parental or guardian consent before using paid features.

Tutors must not knowingly conduct sessions with learners under 13. Any such situation must be reported to SkillMonster immediately.

13. Termination

SkillMonster may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, or for any other reason at our discretion.

You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting support. Some information may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Limitation of Liability

SkillMonster does not guarantee specific learning outcomes, exam results, or career advancement from using the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SkillMonster and its affiliates are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SkillMonster, its affiliates, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or demands arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the platform.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as our platform evolves. We will notify you about significant changes via email or in-product messages and update the "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of SkillMonster after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
